    Professor Rafael (Rafi) Beyar

    World-renowned cardiologist and cardiology researcher. Prof. Beyar is a graduate of Tel Aviv University’s Medical School, holds a doctorate in Medical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and a master’s degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. After serving as Dean of the Medical faculty at the Technion, he led the Interventional Cardiology Unit at the Rambam Health Care Campus and served as Rambam’s CEO. He founded InStent, acquired by Medtronic; Corindus, acquired by Siemens; Rambam MedTech; and the MindUP incubator.

    Extensive experience in early and late-stage projects in the life sciences industry, leading negotiations and managing joint strategic initiatives with key players such as Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Galderma, Glaxo Smith Klein, Reckitt Benckiser, Medtronic, Respironics (Philips), and Covidien. He has served in senior management roles, primarily in the United States, and has been involved in developing pharmaceutical applications worth billions of dollars.

She is a world-renowned scientist, inventor, and innovation leader and owns many patents in the field of autoimmune disease diagnostics. She is a scientific leader in global business development and well experienced in venture capital funds.
